Will your score go down if you check it?

Checking your own report and purchasing a credit score at www.annualcreditreport.com or at www.experian.com, or subscribing to other credit monitoring services will never hurt your credit scores.

A “soft” inquiry will be added showing that you checked your own credit report. Soft inquiries are shown only to you on your personal credit report. They will not affect credit scores at all.
