Experian Review

The Barclaycard Ring® Mastercard® is one of the most unique credit cards on the market, giving cardholders the chance to determine the card's features. New cardholders will get an introductory 0% APR promotion on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months. While the card doesn't offer a traditional rewards program, Barclays shares a portion of the card's profits with cardholders based on how they use their account.

Cardholders Belong to a Community

The Barclaycard Ring® community is unique in the credit card industry. Cardholders can discuss various topics with other cardholders, including card basics, financial health and more. You'll also have the chance to submit and vote on new feature ideas. Depending on how you use your account, you may receive a share of the card's estimated profits.

The 0% APR Promotion Is Generous

When you first open your account, you'll get an introductory 0% APR promotion for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers that have posted to your account within 45 days of opening.

Keep in mind, though, that the card charges a balance transfer fee during this introductory period. You'll pay 2% of the transaction amount, with a $5 minimum. After the initial 45-day period, there's no balance transfer fee, but you will pay a variable 14.24% APR on transfers and purchases.

One of the Lowest-Cost Cards From a Major Issuer

The average credit card interest rate is 16.86%, according to the Federal Reserve. With the Barclaycard Ring® Mastercard®, the 14.24% variable APR (after the introductory 0% APR period) gives you a cheaper alternative. The card also has no annual fee, no foreign transaction fees and just a $3 fee for cash advances.
