Information for Parents

The National Apprenticeship Service found that whilst 87% of parents give their child careers advice, up to 90% of those don’t feel well-informed enough to offer advice.

We understand supporting a young individual can be challenging. After all, many of our employees are parents or carers. With so many new pathways it’s hard to know what’s best.

That's ok. We are here to help.

This free Parents Guide was created by Target Jobs with information from parents, 3rd party suppliers and The National Apprenticeship Service.

In this, they cover the various options avaliable for a young individual, the different between University vs an Apprenticeship, future jobs in demand as well as lots of hints and tips.

Interested in going to university?

We recognise that despite exploring options, some students will still want to go on to university. That’s great! There are no right or wrong pathways.  The good news is we offer a selection of Graduate Opportunities, so you’ll never miss out on joining Experian. Some courses also require you to undertake a 12 Month Year in Industry Placement.  You can learn more about both programmes below.
