Collection of Personally Identifiable Information
Partners or Customers of Audience IQ collect and share personally identifiable information with Experian Marketing Services. Experian Marketing Services may supplement the information it receives from its customers or partners with additional information about you, including, but not limited to:
- Demographic information such as gender, estimated age, volunteered or inferred geographic location, and your estimated purchase ability.
- Summarized census information and other publicly available information such as estimated education level, homeownership status, and estimated occupation type.
- Proprietary customer information including past purchases or status that may be used on behalf of the holder of the customer relationship.
Before using this information for Audience IQ, it is depersonalized and is not directly associated with any identified individual. The depersonalization of this information takes place in a secure, unique, and proprietary process that creates a non-personal data format that will be used for consumer segmentation purposes.
Collection of Non-Personal Information
We also collect non-personal online data from publishers, customers, and partners, including affiliates within the Experian family of companies. These data include, but are not limited to:
- Inferred or expressed interests, including purchase information, product interests we derive from web visits, searches, and other activities.
- Data derived from web-visitors’ computers, browsers, and operating systems, including IP addresses and hosting Internet Access Service.
Any information we collect from the websites you visit or the searches you conduct will only be shared in a de-personalized or aggregated form. This non-personal information may be combined with additional de-personalized information and aggregated for consumer segmentation purposes.
How We Use Collected Information
We use this information for online advertising purposes on publisher websites we contract with directly or with the assistance of partners. Many of our partners are Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) members and/or Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) licensees and are required to comply with their respective membership requirements or principles. These partners do not receive personally identifiable information from the Audience IQ service for use with online advertising.
We may share anonymous data that we collect with affiliated companies and partners or provide aggregated data to current or prospective customers regarding advertising performance.
Please note: Experian Marketing Services does not collect and match information derived from your individual credit report.
