Additional terminations of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) have been announced for three countries: Haiti, Nicaragua and Honduras.
Haiti TPS Termination
Termination of Designation of Haiti for Temporary Protected Status, EADs Expire on September 2, 2025 at 11:59pm.
Form I-766, Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) with a category A12 or C19 and a Card Expires date of Feb. 3, 2026; Aug. 3, 2025; Aug. 3, 2024; June 30, 2024; Feb. 3, 2023; Dec. 31, 2022; Oct. 4, 2021; Jan. 4, 2021; Jan. 2, 2020; July 22, 2019; Jan. 22, 2018; or July 22, 2017, issued under a prior TPS designation of Haiti expire on Sept. 2, 2025.
Nicaragua TPS Termination
Termination of Designation of Nicaragua for Temporary Protected Status, EADs Expire on Sept. 8, 2025 at 11:59pm.
EADs with a Category Code of A12 or C19 and a Card Expires date of July 5, 2025; June 30, 2024; Dec. 31, 2022; Oct. 4, 2021; Jan. 4, 2021; Jan. 2, 2020; April 2, 2019; Jan. 5, 2019; or Jan. 5, 2018, issued under a prior TPS designation of Nicaragua expire on Sept. 8, 2025.
Honduras TPS Termination
Termination of Designation of Honduras for Temporary Protected Status, EADs Expire on Sept. 8, 2025 at 11:59pm.
EADs with a Category Code of A12 or C19 and a Card Expires date of July 5, 2025; June 30, 2024; Dec. 31, 2022; Oct. 4, 2021; Jan. 4, 2021; Jan. 2, 2020; April 2, 2019; Jan. 5, 2019; or Jan. 5, 2018, issued under a prior TPS designation of Nicaragua expire on Sept. 8, 2025.
Recommended Employer Actions:
Employers must reverify TPS beneficiaries from these countries who presented these EADs before they start work on the following dates:
- Haiti TPS beneficiaries: September 3, 2025
- Nicaragua TPS beneficiaries: September 9, 2025
- Honduras TPS beneficiaries: September 9, 2025
