Overall email marketing trends for the second quarter
We are pleased to provide you with Experian Marketing Services’ Q2 2015 Email Benchmark Report detailing overall email marketing trends for the second quarter of the year.
Key findings from the study include:
- Email volume rose by 16.1 percent in Q2 2015 compared to Q2 2014, yet response rates stayed fairly constant
- Revenue per email was $0.08 in Q2 2015, below the $0.09 seen in Q2 2014 but matching the rate seen in Q1 2015
- That said, 51 percent of brands had significant year-over-year increases in transaction rates and revenue per email
- Campaigns using the word “choose” or “choice” in the subject line earned higher revenue per email, transaction rates and transaction-to-click rates
