Dan Johnson — President
Dan Johnson is President of Experian Healthcare where he is responsible for the strategic vision and growth strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, for Experian’s healthcare business line. He joined Experian with the acquisition of SearchAmerica® in 2008, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare transaction services and telecommunications industries to his role.
Prior to Experian, Johnson led SearchAmerica, the industry leader in providing hospitals and healthcare providers data, scoring, and analytical software products and services to assist with making critical financial decisions. Prior to SearchAmerica, Johnson founded the healthcare technology company MedServe Link Incorporated.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
Dan Buell — General Manager
Dan Buell is General Manager for Experian Healthcare and is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the business unit. He was instrumental in the formation of Experian’s healthcare business line, combining the capabilities from the acquisitions of SearchAmerica® and Medical Present Value, Inc. (MPV). Buell joined Experian in 2005 as Vice President of Marketing for Experian’s Consumer Information Solutions Marketing group where he was responsible for the development, management and marketing for Experian’s Collections Products and Solutions.
Buell has more than 20 years of experience in the credit and collections industry and began his career with software developer Ontario Systems. He also served as the Director of Information Services for OSI; Chief Operating Officer for Machol & Johannes, P.C.; and President of MarCom Technologies, a teleperformance company.
Buell has a bachelor's degree in general studies from Ball State University and holds a master's degree in business administration with honors from the University of Phoenix.
Tom Velin — Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration
As Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, Tom Velin is responsible for leading Experian Healthcare’s financial strategy and corporate operations. Velin brings more than 25 years of experience in financial management, operations, mergers & acquisitions, international business, new business development and raising capital.
Before joining SearchAmerica®, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at SPS Commerce, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, where he was responsible for providing the leadership and strategic direction for its financial and legal functions. Velin also has held executive positions at Advanced Duplication Services, August Technology Corporation and Lloyd’s Barbeque.
Velin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota.
Steve Johnson — Chief Technology Officer/Vice President of Data and Analytics
Steve Johnson is Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Data and Analytics for Experian Healthcare. He is responsible for overall technology operations, security and oversight of Experian Healthcare data centers and assets. He also leads the Analytics and Modeling group.
Johnson joined Experian with the acquisition of SearchAmerica® in 2008. With nearly 20 years of management experience at leading healthcare and insurance software companies, Johnson brings leadership and expertise in system architecture, software development and analytics. Prior to joining SearchAmerica, he held several management positions at Decision Research Corporation and Serving Software, Inc.
Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota.
Paul Delbecq — Senior Vice President of Sales
As Senior Vice President of Sales, Paul Delbecq is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s sales strategy. Delbecq has been with Experian Healthcare for six years and brings more than 23 years of experience in healthcare sales, revenue cycle solutions, operations and marketing to his role.
Before joining Experian Healthcare, Delbecq served as Division Vice President for McKesson Automation, a division of McKesson Corporation, for over 10 years. While at McKesson, Delbecq held various management positions for US and International sales. He also has held various positions with leading healthcare organizations such as WebMD Practice Services (formerly VERSYSS, Inc.).
Delbecq received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mark Montgomery — Vice President of Client Services
As Vice President of Client Services, Mark Montgomery is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the client services organization and manages the contract definition, training, implementation, client support and the appeal recoveries services units. Additionally, Montgomery oversees the reimbursement teams responsible for the creation and maintenance of the reimbursement methodologies used in claim valuation logic, which is used across Experian Healthcare.
Montgomery joined Experian in 2011 with the acquisition of Medical Present Value, Inc. (MPV). Prior to joining MPV in 2009, Montgomery spent eight years with McKesson and 17 years with Lanier Healthcare in a variety of strategic sales, client services and operations roles.
Montgomery earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from Tennessee Temple University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.
Merideth Wilson — Vice President of Product and Marketing
As Vice President of Product and Marketing for Experian Healthcare, Merideth Wilson is responsible for product strategy and management, marketing and public relations. Wilson joined Experian Healthcare in 2011 through the acquisition of Medical Present Value, Inc. (MPV) and brings 17 years of strategic marketing and public relations experience to the company.
Prior to MPV, Wilson served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for MedQuist Inc., the world’s largest provider of transcription services and integrated health documentation solutions. She also has held various marketing management positions with Novation, the supply company of VHA and UHC, and Bank of America.
Wilson received a bachelor’s degree in management from Baylor University and a master's degree in business administration from Mercer University.
Shawn Yates — Vice President of Sales Support and Consulting
As Vice President of Sales Support and Consulting, Shawn Yates is responsible for working with healthcare systems, hospitals, and medical groups nationwide to develop enhanced revenue cycle processes and manages pre-sales, sales support, and strategy consulting activities. Yates joined Experian Healthcare in 2010 and has more than 16 years of provider revenue cycle management and healthcare collections experience.
Prior to joining Experian Healthcare, Yates served as the Vice President of Healthcare for I.C. System, a national healthcare outsourcing company. In addition, he worked for Sentara Healthcare as the Corporate Collection Manager managing the self-pay receivables and collections operations.
Yates received a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech.
Allison Halley — Vice President of Human Resources
As Experian Healthcare’s Vice President of Human Resources, Allison Halley is responsible for establishing and developing talent and organizational strategies to attract, develop and engage the work force.
Before joining Experian in 2000, Halley served as Senior Human Resources Consultant at Concero (formerly PSW Technologies), a provider of custom software and integration services for business users and technology organizations. At Concero, she was responsible for the development and administration of compensation and employee benefit programs, performance management, employee relations and legal compliance.
Halley received a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the University of Texas at Austin.
