Ask Max responses address general questions about credit reporting and direct marketing. Because of the volume of questions received, Maxine Sweet cannot respond to each question individually. However, if your question is of interest to a wide audience, she will include it in a future column.

To request a dispute, you must first obtain a copy of your Experian personal credit history by ordering your credit report online or by calling 888 EXPERIAN (888 397 3742). To request a dispute, use our online disputing process for fast resolution. To receive personal assistance, call the telephone number or write to the address provided on your credit report.
