Client registration is a business-to-business Web site designed to assist clients seeking information about our services or access to our Internet products.
This policy applies to all businesses (subscribers) applying for access to Experian's services via the Internet client registration process. This application is for new and current subscribers serviced by Experian Information Solutions, Inc.
Experian is the information industry's recognized leader in balancing the interests and needs of consumers and businesses when developing new information-based services and products.
Our values approach to information use is a model for all companies concerned about doing business in an increasingly privacy-sensitive and regulation-minded business environment.
This privacy notice has been developed in accordance with our commitment to be open and honest about the information we collect and how it is used. Because you must provide certain personal information to become a registered user of our products, we want you to be fully informed about how this information is collected and used.
Depending on the geographic area your business resides in, you may be referred to an Experian Affiliate office that will assist you with the services you need. No identifying information will be collected about you here if you are referred to an Experian Affiliate office.
Our member database collects the following identifying information pertaining to you when you register for our service:
- Company name
- Email Address
We use it for authentication and billing purposes, and as directed by you. Your contact information may be added as a new record to the database and/or may be used to validate existing records.
Security of our Web site
This Web site is intended for the express use of business-to-business transactions. We designed our Web site with multiple layers of security. We utilize state-of-the-art software solutions to prevent unauthorized access and improper use of our site.
Security of our member database
Our member database stores general information (names, addresses and email addresses) of businesses that purchase products from us. It does not store credit information.
Once you register with us, you will have access to - and can change - your information in the database through the use of a password, which you select. Your information is kept secure through encryption and monitoring to prevent unauthorized access.
Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encrypts the information you send us as well as the information we send back to you. Experian's new security standard requires 128 bit encryption and will require Internet Explorer 4.0 or above or Netscape 4.0 or above.
