Hitwise Goes Public with Improved Methods for Sharing & Integrating Data
Dennis Yuscavitch
Product Manager, Experian Hitwise
Experian Hitwise is excited to announce the release of three new products designed to improve how you share, publish and integrate Hitwise data.
Dashboard Guest Sharing
Now you can elect to share entire dashboards with any recipient via email by publishing the dashboard to a protected website for the recipient to view. For example, you can share your Search Intelligence summary dashboard with important internal or external stakeholders to keep them up-to-date on industry search trends. All shared dashboards have the benefit of updating automatically to reflect the most recent data.
View a short video on how you can use Dashboard Guest Sharing here.
When you distribute a dashboard to a guest user, the following window allows you to add email addresses and optional messaging, which generates an email with an embedded link to the published dashboard.
When the user clicks on the dashboard link in the email, they will be redirected to a secure web page that includes the dashboard:
Dashboard Module Publishing with Omniture SiteCatalyst Integration
We are also announcing the client release of Module Publishing with Omniture integration, which allows for wider visibility and publishing options. Module Publishing with Omniture allows users to cross-publish individual modules ‘to’ and ‘from’ Omniture SiteCatalyst, allowing for Omniture and Hitwise modules to be viewed alongside each other in either platform.
For instance you may want to analyze Omniture Site Visits alongside Hitwise Total Visit metrics in order to identify genuine lift for your site not impacted by seasonal or industry trends.
Additionally, Hitwise Modules can also be published across the web through platforms like Blogger, iGoogle and Netvibes. Modules also offer a ‘general’ option that can be used to publish across any module-compatible website.
When you hover on any dashboard module and select “publish” the following publishing options appear:
Search Intelligence API
Finally, we launched our Search Intelligence API in beta earlier this year and had excellent adoption across a range of clients. Currently, a company in the travel vertical is currently leveraging the Search Intelligence API to automatically generate and upload weekly search term variations. This data is incorporated into their proprietary bid management platform on an automated basis to help inform keyword bidding.
Hitwise data continues to be insightful and actionable, but many of our customers have asked that we create more efficient ways to share and integrate data. We hope you enjoy these new methods for sharing, publishing and integrating Hitwise data through our Dashboard Guest Sharing, Module Publishing and Search Intelligence API.
We look forward to your comments.
