Date an account is opened has no bearing on when an account is deleted

I haven’t paid my credit cards in four years. How long will it take them to be removed? I opened the accounts in 2007.

Delinquent account will still remain on report once settled

Dear Experian,

I recently paid a settlement on a delinquent account. I have the release letters and was told I can send them in directly in order to have the information removed from my credit report. Can you tell me how to do this?

Paying off account will not restart the seven year time frame

Dear Experian,

If a charged off credit card is about to drop off and I pay it off, can the creditor restart the seven year time frame on my report?

Thank you.
