Can I go back to 1992 or 1993 to get some information that was in my credit reports at that time?
No, you can’t. Data is not saved each and every day and a new report started the following day. Credit reports are continuously updated with new information, and old information is continuously deleted. The only report that is available is the one with the most current information.
Open accounts with a positive status are reported indefinitely. You would see those accounts simply by requesting a copy of your current credit report. The accounts would show the date they were opened, up to seven years of payment history, and the current payment status.
Payment information dating back to 1992 or 1993 is no longer in Experian’s systems.
Thanks for asking.
